LESSONS

Apex Mountain Resort offers a full range of lessons that cater to everyone from first-timers to double-black diamond junkies. Whatever your skill level, take a lessons and you’re sure to improve and get the most out of the mountain.

With novice to advanced lessons available, having a group lessons will help you improve your skills and maybe meet some new friends! Apex also offers private lessons, where one-on-one instruction will ensure the lesson is tailored to your ability and preferences. 

Book your kids (5 – 12 years old) into one of Apex’s kids’ programs where instructors will teach them to ski or board or help them hone their skills – and give you some time to explore the mountain. For children and teens, the Home Hardware Skills Development Program is a fun way to improve their skiing or snowboarding.

If you have considered turning your passion into a career, Apex offers the CSIA Level 1 Course to become a Certified Canadian Ski Instructor, as well as Snowboard CASI certification programs. Contact Ski Tours Canada for more information. 

LIFTS

Apex offers single, multi-day and season lift passes, with lower prices for teens (13-18 years), juniors (8-12 years), seniors (65- 69 years) and masters (over 70 years), while children under 7 years ski free.

GEAR

The Rental Shop in Apex Mountain Village will get you ready to hit the slopes with over 400 pairs of regular, high performance and children’s rental skis. It also offers a snowboard fleet, snowblades, snowshoes, and skate rentals.

If you plan to purchase ski and snowboarding equipment and accessories at Apex, the Mountain Shop, located in the village, offers a wide selection of ski and snowboard equipment, clothing, après ski wear and souvenirs. And if you're planning to purchase skis, why not try out the store’s demo skis?

RESORT ACTIVITIES

The fun doesn't end when you leave the slopes. Apex ski area and surrounds offer a variety of activities to keep you entertained day and night.

Climb the ice at Apex's 12 metre (40 foot) ice tower and put your agility and strength to the test. Equipment and training are provided.

Snowbiking is a great activity to book your group into, or try it out on your own. An exhilarating activity for any level that's easy to learn. Rentals include a free lesson.

Snowshoeing is one of the fastest growing snowsport adventures. Take a guided tour and enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty.

Head to the Fairview Mohawk Outdoor Ice Hockey Rink for a game of hockey, curling or skating practice. It is free of charge, however private bookings are available. Skates are available for rent at the rink.

Skate through the trees on the 1km-long, Zamboni-maintained ice loop. Arrange for a private bonfire with hot chocolate, marshmallows and hot dogs to be set up at the loop for you and your group or family. The loop is free of charge and lit for night skating until 11pm.

Snowmobile Tours allow you to see the backcountry around Apex Resort from the seat of a snowmobile.

Nickelplate Nordic Centre offers the longest season in Canada, with access to 56 kilometres of groomed and trackset trails for classic and skate skiing. Lift accessed and located next to the Mountain Shop.

Tim Horton's Tube Park will keep you sliding for hours. A very popular activity for all ages. Arrange a private bonfire with hotdogs, marshmallows and hot chocolate at the base of the lift.

Night Skiing is available Friday, Saturday and holidays.
