The Owl Leaning Area has a 55 metre-long (180 foot) magic carpet, while intermediate and advanced skiers still have plenty to explore with over 729 hectares (1,800 acres) of wide open groomed cruising terrain, moguls and gladed runs as well as the serious powder Kimberley is known for.

Kimberley is located in the heart of the East Kootenays, in Southeast British Columbia, only 20 minutes from Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook. By road, Kimberley is around a 4-hour trip from Calgary, Alberta.

Kimberley is also home to one of North America’s longest illuminated night skiing runs, open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Thanks to recent on-mountain expansions there are plenty of on-snow ski-in/ski-out properties, as well as the accommodation options in the nearby town of Kimberley itself, known as the “Bavarian City of the Rockies”, with many European-inspired restaurants and shops.

Kimberley BC has an average snowfall of 4 metres (150 inches) and portable tower mount snow guns that can be used on 5 different spots on the mountain to create a greater coverage.

You won’t be bored on a day off the slopes in Kimberley, with a variety of on and off mountain activities on offer including dining in your own igloo, taking a mountaintop snowshoe tour or enjoying a Bavarian feast.

To keep the little ones entertained, Kimberley has a nightly Kidzrule Evening Program offering activities such as movies, games, crafts and tubing.

Ski Tours Canada can design your personal snow holiday with as many extra services and activities as you like. After all, we are here to make your Kimberley holiday unforgettable.
