Exciting line-up of events for Red's 2008/2009 season

ROSSLAND, B.C. - Red Mountain Resort is all geared up for the upcoming ski season and is pleased to announce their schedule of events for 2008/09. Back by popular demand, Red kicks off the season with another Ski Free Day! From New Year's Eve celebrations and Spring Break festivities to the epic competitions and after parties, Red is offering events that appeal to all levels of skiers, boarders, families, kids, teens, couples and snow lovers!
December 5, 2008: Opening Day
December 19, 2008: Ski Free Day
Free lift tickets for everyone, all day long
December 25, 2008: Breakfast With Santa
Enjoy Christmas Breakfast with Santa from 10:30-11:30am and join him for a ski afterwards!
December 31, 2008: New Years Party
Celebrate New Years Eve in Rafters Lounge in the base lodge. Outdoors, celebrate with the entire family and enjoy fireworks and the famous torchlight parade.
January 9-18, 2009: Canadian Open Freeskiing Championship Presented by Ledcor
Red is hosting its 8th Annual Canadian Open Freeskiing Championship. Check out the action or compete in one of the most challenging venues on the Big Mountain Freeskiing circuit. January 17-25, 2009: National Learn to Ski and Snowboard Week
A great opportunity to get on the slopes and learn with Red's Snowsports School. Super rates will be offered.
February TBD: Red Bull Cold Rush
The Cold Rush crowns the most versatile and best all-around skier. Three events including Big Mountain and Slopestyle, will feature some of the best ski talent on the planet. An after party not to be missed!
February 21-22, 2009: BC Snowboardercross

Hosted by Red Mountain Racers Ski Club

Red hosts the best K2 skiers in British Columbia
March 14-29, 2009: Kokanee Spring Fest

April 5, 2009: End of Season Party
