Medicine with Altitude Conference at Whistler Conference appoints Ski Tours Canada as travel planner

Specialist ski travel wholesaler Ski Tours Canada has been appointed as the exclusive agent for the third annual ‘Medicine with Altitude’ Conference which for the first time be held in Whistler, Canada in December this year.
The conference, which will be held from December 30, 2007 to January 6, 2008, will provide Continuing Medical Education (CME) with presentations on procedural revision and medical updates from specialist professionals. Speakers include leaders in their fields from Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Skin Surgery.
This is the first time the conference has been held in North America. Last year it was held in Wanaka, New Zealand.
The award-winning Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort will provide not only a spectacular backdrop for the conference but delegates will be able to combine their learning with the thrill of the resort’s world class ski slopes.
Whistler is the host venue for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and boasts more than 8,100 ski-able acres, over 200 trails, three glaciers and 38 lifts.
As well as hearing from world-leading medical professionals, including Vancouver-based Dermasurgeon Dr Julian Hancock, the conference will offer delegates a range of on and off-mountain activities, including a New Years Eve celebration dinner, sleigh rides, a fondue dinner and après ski drinks each evening.
Ski Tours Canada is offering delegates a seven day air and land travel package (ex-Sydney) that includes return economy airfares with Air Canada to Vancouver, return coach transfers from Vancouver Airport to Whistler, 7 nights accommodation at the Delta Whistler Village Suites including full breakfast daily, a six day lift pass plus a sleigh ride and fondue dinner for $A4,675 per person twin share.
The registration fee for delegates is $995 and $325 for an accompanying spouse.
Ski Tours Canada can also arrange optional activities including group/private lessons, dog sledding tours, a Ziptrek adrenalin adventure, snow mobiling, show shoeing and ice skating.
“The ‘Medicine with Altitude’ conference has proved to be very popular with the Australian medical community, not only because it offers some of the world’s best medical professionals and speakers but also the location of Whistler appeals to both skiers and non-skiers,” Ski Tours Canada Director Sue Thorley said.
“Ski Tours Canada will also provide delegates and their families a range of snow holiday add-on experiences. Doctors and their families can choose to stay longer at Whistler, or may prefer to experience other ski resorts such as Sun Peaks, Silver Star, Big White and Banff/Lake Louise whilst in Canada.”
All conference delegates will receive a complimentary Whistler Bonus Discount Card offering many resort savings.
