Edible British Columbia is incredibly excited to announce our next great adventure in conjunction with Audi Canada. Twelve lucky people will have an opportunity to drive 8 great new Audi vehicles to the Okanagan for the ultimate weekend of driving, dining and a little bit of responsible wining!

Edible BC President, Eric Pateman, will lead the weekend tour from Vancouver through the Fraser Valley and Okanagan Valley with a focus on driving and learning more about BC's best local foods.

Guests can expect a number of private wine and food tastings over the three days, as well as two intimate dinners in the private kitchen at La Punta Norte where two outstanding local chefs will come and cook for the group. This promises to be a weekend to remember!

You can be sure that if Edible BC is involved, the food and wine will be stellar, so that leaves only one question: What are we going to drive?

Once people have selected their vehicle (we'll draw straws to begin, but everyone will have a chance to drive all the cars throughout weekend), we will head out to the Fraser Valley for some cheese tasting and other culinary stops to ensure we are well energized for the trip!

We will then hit the twisting lesser travelled roads for our trip to the Okanagan (avoiding the Coquihalla) so we can truly appreciate the cars.

Once we get to the Okanagan, we will be staying at the stunning B&B, La Punta Norte, which is set on the cliffs of Lake Okanagan between Peachland and Summerland. Each room features a queen sized bed, rustic southwestern decor and a hot tub on each of the private patios.

While we are in the Okanagan, we will visit numerous wineries, fromageries and other places of edible interest up and down the valley. A detailed itinerary will be finalized once all the spaces have been purchased as the trip will be customized based on the desires of the group. However, you can be sure the weekend will include many private tastings and hidden gems that are a little off the beaten track!

For each of the two nights, we have arranged for a top local chef to come and cook a multi-course meal with wine pairings for us at the Inn (so we don’t have to drive). These will be fun, informal evenings where you can choose to get your hands dirty and help the chefs or just sit back and enjoy the gorgeous sunset on the lake with a glass of wine in your hand. On the Friday night, Chef Mark Filatow from the famed Waterfront Wine Bar in Kelowna will cook for us. On Saturday night we have arranged for Chefs Cameron Smith and Dana Ewart of Joy Road Organics to entertain us with their incredible skills honed at some of Canada’s top restaurants including Toque in Montreal! As we tour wineries during the day, we will be sure to pick up the wines to enjoy each evening. We might even have a vintner or two join us!

Lunch each day will be at a vineyard or local restaurant that showcases the best of the region while breakfast will be served at the Inn.

As with all of our tours and events, this event will exceed all expectations and will surely be a weekend to talk about for years to come!

The trip departs on the Friday morning at 8:00 am and returns late Sunday afternoon. The package is C$1,095 per person plus tax and gratuities. Included in the cost of the trip is the use of an Audi vehicle for entire weekend including all fuel, all meals and wine (as noted in the itinerary), all scheduled events and activities, and accommodation (based on double occupancy).
