From Vancouver on the Pacific Coast to halifax on the Atlantic Coast and all the highlights in between. Discover Canada's diverse scenery and culture on this cross country journey. This tour will take you between Vancouver and Toronto, with visits to Niagara Falls and the mountain towns of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper included along the way. This 16 night/17 day tour runs regularly from late April to early October.

 

 

 

 

The Trans-Canada Rail Adventure

Day 1 – Vancouver – Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own
Onboard the Rocky Mountaineer – Kicking Horse Route
Day 2 – Vancouver to Kamloops – Overnight in Kamloops
Day 3 – Kamloops to Banff – Overnight in Banff
Day 4 – Banff – Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff this morning, with highlights including Bow Falls and the Banff Gondola. The rest of the day is at your leaisure in Banff. Overnight in Banff.
Day 5 – Banff to Lake Louise – A motorcoach takes you into Yoho National park. Among it’s attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge. Overnight at the Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 6 – Lake Louise – Spend a free day at Lake Louise. Take a stroll beside the lake or an afternoon paddle in a canoe. Overnight at the Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 7 – Lake Louise to Jasper – Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of the spectacular Icefields Parkway, including an Ice Explorer ride to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Overnight in Jasper.
Days 8 – 9 – Jasper to Toronto – Enjoy your 3 day VIA rail journey across the Prairie provinces and northern Ontario. Two nights are spent in bedroom accommodation on board, and all meals are included.
Day 10 – Arrival in Toronto – Arrive in Toronto on VIA rail this evening. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 11 – Niagara Falls Day Trip – A full day motorcoach tour to Niagara falls, one of the great natural wonders of the world, including a cruise on the Maid of the Mist (when operating) to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 12 Toronto to Montreal – VIA Rail to Montreal. Overnight in Montreal.
Day 13 – Montreal – Enjoy a half day guided tour of Montreal, with the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Montreal.
Day 14 – Montreal to Halifax – Spend the entire day exploring Montreal before boarding the overnight VIA rail train to Halifax. Overnight on VIA rail in bedroom accommodation.
Day 15 – Arrival in Halifax – Journey through the landscapes of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia before you arrive in Halifax. Overnight in Halifax.
Day 16 – Peggy’s Cove Day Trip – Enjoy a tour to the picturesque village of Peggy’s Cove and the most photographed lighthouse in the world. Overnight in Halifax.
Day 17 – Halifax – Your Trans-Canada Rail Adventure ends with check-out from your Halifax hotel.
