Eastern Explorer & New England Cruise

Day 1. Home Port - Toronto - Join flight to Toronto. Cross the International Date Line and arrive in Toronto in the late afternoon. Enjoy a welcome dinner at your Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Downtown Toronto.

Day 2. Niagara Falls - "Maid of the Mist" Boat Ride - Enjoy Niagara Falls, one of the world's natural wonders. Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before enjoying your first unforgettable glimpse of teh falls. Board the "Maid of the Mist" boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. Enjoy some leisure time before reutnign to Toronto early in the evening to explore the city.

Day 3. CN Tower - Thousand Islands Cruise - Ottawa - This morning we will take you to the top of CN Tower for an indulgent breakfast before briefly touring the lakefront and downtown area of Toronto. Travel east along the shores of Lake Ontraio to Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St Lawrence River. At Rockport cruise through the maxe of the Thousand Islands, which marks the border between Canada and the United States. Continue through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes to Canada's national capital - Ottawa.

Day 4. Ottawa - Parc Omega - Montebello - Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Ottawa including the imposing Parliament Buildings, Government House, and the official residence of the Prime Minister. Travel along the north shore of the mightly St Lawrence River en route to picturesque Montebello. Spend the afternnon at Parc Omega, a 1500 acre park where you will discover native wildlife such as Black Bears, Buffalo, Deer, Moose, Bison and much more in their natural habitat. Take the time to stroll though the parks walking trails and come face to face with free roaming red deer.

Day 5. Montréal - This morning we continue east to to old world charm of Montréal. On arrival enjoy a sighseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph's Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedra and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Day 6. Québec City - Continue to Québec City, the only walled city in North America and an important World Heritage Listed site. Enjoy a tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truely a remarkable city, every building in Québec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years.

Day 7. Montmorency Falls - After breakfast visit Montmorency Falls as you traverse a landscape characterised by rugged mountains and the mighty St Lawrence River. Continue north through the rural and historic townships of the Québec province to St Anne de Beaupre Basicila - the "Lourdes" of New France. Then choose one of the following freechoice activities including: St Lawrence River cruise, A guiding walking tour through the old streets of Québec City, A guided tour of Le Chateau Frontenac or A horse and carriage ride through the quaint streets of Old Québec.

Day 8. Quebec - 6 Night Gulf of St Lawrence Cruise - Transfer to the pier to board the Holland America Line Ship "ms Maasdam". Settle into your Oceanview Stateroom for the next 6 nights.

Day 9. Cruise Saguenay Fjord - Early this morning enter the delightful Saguenay Fjord, the largest fjord in North America and one of the most southerly in the world. Marvel at the imposing cliffs towering as high as 450m above you as you cruise the deep, icy waters of the fjord.

Day 10. Charlottetown, Price Edward Island - This morning arrive into the charming city of Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. Plently of free time to explore the city, famed for being the birthplace of Canada. Visit Confederation Centre of perhaps enjoy an optional tour to the "Anne of Green Gables" homesite (optional tours are at own expense).

Day 11. Sydney - Cape Breton Island - Having cruised around the northern edge of Nova Scotia, arrive into the charming port of Sydney on Cape Breton Island this morning. Spend the day in Sydney or take an optional sightseeing tour.

Day 12. Halifax, Nova Scotia - Arrive into Hallifax this morning and spend the day docked in one of the world's most beautiful natural harbours. Explore this fascinating and historic city on your own or perhaps taken an optional tour to delightful Peggy's Cove (at own expense).

Day 13. Bar Harbor, Maine - Enter the waters of the United States this morning as you sail along the coast of New Brunswick and past Grand Manan Island. Arrive into Bar Harbor, from where optional tours will be avaliable into the beautiful Acadia National Park (at own expense). Enjoy your final night on board as you sail towards Boston.

Day 14. Boston - Arrive into the lovely city of Boston early this morning. After disemarking from your ship you will be met and transferred directly to Boston Airport for your homeward flight.

Day 15. Cross International Dateline - In flight, cross the International Dateline.

Day 16. Arrive Home Port - Your tour ends wilth arrival into your home port.
