The Yukon

The Northern Lights and Science Centre in Watson Lake is dedicated to exploring the science and folklore of the aurora borealis. A multimedia show "Myths and Mysteries of the Northern Lights" is shown daily in the summer.

The Keno City Mining Museum and Alpine Interpretive Centre features extensive displays that chronicle a century of gold and silver mining in the region. An impressive collection of old photographs offers a rare glimpse into life in a northern frontier mining town. Tools, equipment and memorabilia are also on display.

Kluane Museum of Natural History is located in Burwash Landing on the shores of Kluane Lake. The museum features impressive wildlife dioramas, handcrafts and the biggest gold pan in the world. View Kluane First Nation artefacts, beaded costumes and imformation on the geology of the Kluane area including fossils and 18,000 year old mammoth teeth.

The MacBride Museum in Whitehorse is housed in a log cabin and holds a collection of items from Indian cultures, the fur trade and the gold rush.
