Vancouver to Las Vegas - 16 days / 15 nights

Day 1 - Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops

Board the Rocky Mountaineer in Vancouver and travel through the Coastal Mountains and Fraser Canyon to historic Kamloops. TRabsfer and overnight in a moderate hotel.

 

Day 2 - Banff

Re-board the Rocky Mountaineer and travel through spectacular scenery, tunnels and via glaciers and rocky peaks to Banff. Make your way to Brewster Mountain Lodge for overnight.

 

Day 3 - Banff

Commence the minivan tour today, drive to beautiful Lake Louise with a walk to Victoria Glacier and also to the spectaculr Johnson Canyons. Free time to explore Banff. Overnight Banff.

 

Day 4 - Waterton Lakes

We leave the Rockies behind and head south to Waterton Lakes Noational Park, the hidden jewel of Canada's Rocky Mountain Parks.

 

Day 5 - Glacier Park

Cross the US border today and continues south through the mountains to Helena for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6-7 - Yellowstone National Park

Arrive at the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park and home to buffalo, elk and over a thousand geysers. Overnight West Gate Yellowstone Park. Next day your tour of the park includes Yellowstone Lake, Hayden Meadow, Yellowstone Falls, the park's Grand Canyon, the mudholes and 'Old Faithful' the most famous of the geysers. Leaving Yellostone you go into The Grand Tetons and pvernight at Jackson Hole.

 

Day 8 - Salt Lake City

Travel from the Wilds of the Grand Tetons to Salt Lake City for an overnight stay.

 

Day 9 - Capital Reef

Explore Capital Gorge and then head out to Capital Reef National Park.

 

Day 10 - Bryce Canyon

Get up early to see the sun rise and explore Bryce Canyon National Park. Its rocks have been sculpted by erosion into unique pillar formations called hoodoos, towering as high as office buildings. Overnight Cedar City.

 

Day 11 - Page

Visit Zion National Park before heading east to Page and famous Lake Powell in the desert. Overnight Page.

 

Day 12 - Grand Canyon

Tpday you visit the stunning Grand Canyon, driving along the panoramic south rim with views of the multi-hues canyon walls. Overnight Grand Canyon Village.

 

Day 13 - Kingman

Free day to take in the drama of the Canyon. There are options such as walks into the Canyon, helicopter tours and sightseeing along the southern rim. At the end of the day head west along the historic gold trail to Kingman for an overnight stay.

 

Day 14 - Death Valley

Travel around Las Vegas to Death Valley and descend 800 feet below sea level to the site of the 49'ers and their deathly ordeal in the salt beds. Overnight Death Valley.

 

Day 15 - Las Vegas

Spend most of the day exploring Death Valley before heading back to Las Vegas for an overnight stay.

 

Day 16 - Tours Ends Las Vegas

Today is free to explore the Pleasure Island of Nevada. Tour ends here.
